Background and Training

I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in therapy for children, adolescents, and families. I help children struggling with behavioral and emotional problems, integrating parenting work to create lasting change. Since my graduate training began in 2006, I have gained a broad range of work experiences in a variety of hospital, clinic, and educational settings. Throughout my years in practice, I have sincerely enjoyed meeting each child and understanding their individual needs and circumstances. My goal is to empower kids and families to support a happy and healthy childhood.

Education:

I earned my bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, graduating summa cum laude in psychology and Phi Beta Kappa, and completed my doctoral training in Clinical Child-School Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology, Yeshiva University, at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Hospital Affiliation and Research Interests:

From 2012-2020, I was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Langone’s Child Study Center. I have worked with many children and families in both the Hackensack, NJ and New York City offices. My research interests focused on preventing child behavior and mood problems, promoting resilience, and developing positive relationships. I believe it is very helpful to have an academic background while providing clinical services in order to stay informed on the latest evidence and understand best service delivery aspects of treatment interventions.

Publications and Presentations:

I have co-authored book chapters and publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology and Pediatrics, and have presented research at conferences and workshops throughout the Northeast. I have also been interviewed for various news media outlets, highlighted on the In the News page.

Professional Organization Memberships:

I am a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and the Connecticut Psychological Association (CPA).
